At BlueDew Pens, we take pride in our selection of unique nibs rigorously designed for calligraphy and artistic expression. Here are the specialized nibs we offer:

CalligraFlex Nib

• Design: Crafted w/o tipping material, this nib is designed from traditional dip nibs, made in rust-free stainless steel.

• Performance: It excels in creating fine lines for pointed nib calligraphy, achieving swells around 1.5mm.

• Forces: Requires around 230g of force to open the tines to 1mm.

• Availability: Offered in all pen series, and as loose nibs.

SoftFlex (SF) Nib

• Base: Based on a regular Fine nib with custom cuts for enhanced flexibility.

• Grind: Jeffrey hand-grinds the Fine tip to Extra Fine (~0.2mm) unless specified otherwise.

• Performance: Capable of producing swells of 2mm with 800g of force, or 400g to 1mm. Max flex up to 2.5mm.

• Availability: Compatible with Writer and Crystal series pens.

SuperSoftFlex (SSF) Nib

• Design: Similar to the SF nib but incorporates different cuts for increased flexibility.

• Grind: Like the SF, the Fine tip will be hand-ground to Extra Fine (~0.2mm) by Jeffrey, unless instructed otherwise.

• Performance: Achieves swells of 2mm with 600g of force, or 300g to 1mm. Max flex up to 3mm.

• Availability: Offered with Writer and Crystal series pens.

Hand-ground Custom Italics Nib

• Specialisation: Focused on delivering optimal horizontal fine lines for precise line variation, using faceting techniques similar to watch bevelling to reduce the need for rounding.

• Feedback: Designed to provide a gentle feedback feel essential for pen control.

• Availability: Available for Writer and Crystal series pens.
